Ms. Patel has been in public accounting since 1992. She is certified by the Michigan State Board of Accountancy and is an active member of Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
As the managing partner of the firm, Arati oversees day to day decisions and activities of the firm along with strategic planning for firm growth. Arati was born and raised in India, graduated with Bachelors in Commerce, from M. S. University in India and also received her Accountancy degree from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business in Troy, MI. She started her career during her final year of college and has worked and lived in the Troy/sterling heights area since them.
Arati is focused in helping her clients increase their net worth and lower their taxes. This goal is facilitated by gaining a thorough understanding of each client’s personal and business financial situation and assessing a variety of strategies to determine how best to obtain the clients’ personal and financial goals. Arati specializes in preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, corporation, expatriates, foreign nationals, representing clients in front of federal and state tax authorities. She regularly helps clients on a variety of international, federal, state and local tax matters. From entity formation to corporate tax planning, she provides guidance on tax consequences specific to corporations and such pass through entities as limited liability companies, partnerships and S corporations. She monitors new opportunities for deferring or reducing tax liabilities and advise clients on tax compliance matters. Arati understands the business economics of a transaction and recommends the most tax-efficient method of implementation.
Arati and her spouse have 2 active sons. Beyond her passion for numbers, Arati loves spending time with her family and friends, reading, travelling, dancing and cooking.
